My father-in-law is awesome!!
As you may have noticed, I have enlisted in the USAF Reserves! As of now, my ship date to basic training is 19 July. Man, too excited for the up coming events unfolding. I have some great buddies of mine that are and have been the Air Force for many years…(some are close to retiring from the AF and I’m just getting started…oh well, never too late unless your 36, ha) and they are helping me in finding out what the military is all about. I’m also reading a book to get ready for BMT (Basic Military Training) and for military life…wow, I act like I’m not going to be making it through when I know good and well I will. I think it’s just all in my head and I don’t really know what to expect at BMT. Glad to have the buddies to help me in this process of “Gettin’ Ready”. I might even be working right next to my best friend TSgt. Jamie Farnell! I have known Jamie for 10, maybe more, years now and he is the big brother I never had! Just how cool would it be to work right next to your best friend?!
This is a huge change to me and my two beautiful ladies (Ellisyn and Lauren…don’t forget Adelaide too), but so ready for the changing in scenery. I’m just excited to open these doors to new opportunities and to be apart of the worlds best Air Force. Can’t wait to get in the awesome uniform and know that I overcame obstacles and went through so much to be in that uniform and in that position. Loving my decision and I’m so glad I finally made it and jumped through the hoops to get where I’m at now.
If you didn’t know me a few years ago, here is my story…It was about eight or nine years ago I was speaking with Jamie one evening and I told him, “I’m going to do it. I’m going to go in the Air Force”. All great, but obviously I never went…oh well, if I would have went in then, I wouldn’t have my wonderful beautiful wife and great beautiful daughter. So I don’t regret not going in a bit, but now that I have a four year degree, a wife, and a child, I just thought it was a great time to follow my dreams. Thank God for giving me this chance!!

Our baby is just so big, so fast now! We can’t believe just seven months ago she was born, now she’s starting to crawl everywhere and babbling little words here and there! We just can’t believe God has blessed us so much with her! She is such a joy, even when she wakes at 0230 as she did this morning! No problem, clean her up, fill her up, rocker her a bit, and send her back to sleep. Yeah, it’s a little tough getting up to do this in the middle of the night when you’re half asleep, but it is well worth it because the next thing we know she’ll be grown and she won’t let me hold her in my arms anymore…sad but true!
Updated on my career situation…received great scores on my ASVAB, so the USAF will pretty much let me have any job! Too excited! Hate that I’ll be gone for a while to BMT and tech school, but well worth it in the end. I will be supporting my family better, doing something I want to do, and will be serving my great country as well.

In reading David Brennan’s new book ( the Israel Omen) found some interesting stuff. Check this out…a prophecy by Zech. describes a time when actions will be taken to remove part of the “Promised Land” from the Israelites. It eerily describes events currently unfolding as it relates to the QUARTET’S efforts. Zech. 1:18-19, Then lifted I up mine eyes, and saw, and behold four horns. Easter is coming soon and everyone knows there is more people to go to church on Easter and Christmas. I pray that these individuals that only come on these two great days will come more often to receive the Word of the Lord more. As to title says, the Lord is coming soon and we all need to be prepared. Just look at the earthquakes that have happened the past few weeks. There has been three huge devastating earthquakes in three different countries. I encourage you to read this blog, http://contenderministries.org/prophecy/endtimes.php. It has tremendous incite to what the Bible says regarding the End Times. Read Luke 21:10-11 & Matthew 24:7, that is what is happening today,
10Then he said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. 11There will be great earthquakes, and in various places famines and pestilences. And there will be terrors and great signs from heaven.”

Just the other day, my Father-In-Law sent me an email, it stated:
Exciting Times
“Hey guys, tonight in studying: In an article by Gary Stearman, “This month, on the 29th of March for the first time in 2000 years in Israel, the Sandedrin and Jewish Temple Institute will sacrifice several lambs on Passover. A sacrificial altar has been constructed 12 miles NE of Jerusalem @ Mizpah/Jericho. Also construction has begun on a Jewish Temple there. When the time is right, they say that the whole thing, Temple, altar and all, will be moved to the Temple Mount. Wow!” Amos 9:11-15 closes with words that could be happening right now in Israel. It also reminds me of Dan. 9:27, the antichrist signs the covenant with many for 1 Sabbatical 7 years. allowing the Jews to Worship, Sacrifice etc., but in the middle of the week Rev.13:5-6 he stops it, enters the Temple, desecrated it and “he” requires to be worshipped. My Prayer:
Dear Lord, we see Your signs and know that the end is near. We have heard it for years that You were sending Your Son, Jesus, to come for us, but now we can really see Your signs. Please forgive us where we have failed You. Lord I pray our names are written in the Lambs Book of Life and that all will see these events going on in the world today and recognize You are Lord and are in control if it all. Give us strength to spread Your Word to all unbelievers so that they will too be caught up in Your Glory on Your return. Thank you Jesus for dying for us so we can have a chance to make it to Heaven! We love, honor, and cherish You, oh Lord, in Your Name Jesus, Amen!
Man, I’m in the middle of five (5) books right now! All of them are great. I’m not sure why, but I have been in the mood to read lately instead of watching tv or playing my video game. It is exciting…crazy huh? I know if my sister or mom would read this they wouldn’t know what to think b/c they both know how much I hated reading growing up.
After working all day, taking the trash off, working out at the gym, picking up my baby’s crib, mattress, and changing table, and after eat supper and getting a shower, I laid down in the bed to continue reading the book “Tribes”, by Seth Godin, that my father-in-law lent me. Man, it is hard to put it down! It is speaking on leadership and making a difference in the work place. I think I might have to try out a lot of these great tactics the author is talking about!

Adelaide Under the Covers
Today I have been very patriotic and wanting to say thanks to all our men and women of this great country for their service they are putting forth. We as civilians cannot thank them enough for what they do. They go out risking their life for us. We need to honor those who have fought and who are fighting. If you can’t tell, I’m a big supporter of the US Military and proud to say, after my daughter is born in July 2010 I will be making my way into the Air Force as an Officer. I believe this is and has been a calling on my life. I feel as if I can do more than what I am at the present time. Before my 19th birthday, I was set my mind to enlist in the Air Force. Then I spoke to my parents about it…mom cried for like a week. There is when I decided to just stay home and finish getting a degree…in something. I didn’t have a clue of what I wanted to do. There were many days I had thoughts of being mad at my mom for making me feel bad about joining. But now, I can see where she was coming from. If I would have went in at that time, I wouldn’t have married my beautiful wife and wouldn’t have a daughter on the way. Now that I have my degree, grown, married, and living on my own, I think it is time to go back to what I originally wanted to do with my life and bring my wonderful wife and daughter along the way.
I was speaking with my best friends father, Jim Farnell, the other day on Facebook and spoke to him of a particular personal situation. He recommend two books to me, “Enough” by Juan Williams and “The Content of Our Character” by Shelby Steele. I have purchased both books and have started reading each one. Both books were written by black author’s who know their stuff and have done their homework. They speak on racism and discrimination in America through the decades and of today. I would recommend these two books even though I haven’t even made it though one yet.
It is so hard to press on everyday going to the same lame job and doing the samething over and over again. Just sitting in the same chair each day when I know I need to be helping my country succeed and also know this is the calling on my life by God. I also know I can hang on until I make it into OTS, Officers Training School.
